Networking is basically an act of linking. The Internet is probably the second largest known Network in existence today. I'll leave the likely winner of the Largest Network until later in this article and give you time to consider it.
Networks exist for many reasons. Some are practical some are a matter of necessity. Others are through personal choice.
Logistics Networks ensure a smooth delivery of products through connecting Ships, Planes, Trucks and Local delivery services.
Computer Networks link computers together to enable sharing of information and communication. Computer networks can be as limited as 2 computers or can be as vast as the World Wide Web.
Around the world governments are Networks of representative's form across a country.
Network Marketing uses the same principles as all these Networking examples and implements them as the basis for a Distribution model for goods and services.
4 Networks you will probably use today:
- Chances are you are reading this article on your computer by accessing the World Wide Web. One of the largest networks in the world. The Internet works by using your Modem or Router to transfer and receive signals in data packs.
- Going to work or school you may need to catch a bus or train. Local transport services use a Network of buses or trains to connect various parts of a town, city, state or country. Even Planes use a network system with Airports acting as a connecting hub.
- You call to order a Pizza for your evening meal and use a phone that is connected to probably every other home in the modern world through a Cable network or Satelite.
- The electricity that is powering your computer is supplied to your home using a network of cables and wires. Once at your home it uses another network of cables to provide power to each socket and light switch around your home.
So, what do you think would be the largest network in existence? My guess would put human life itself at the top of the list as the largest network in History. When looking at it from a religious point of view.
As a concept Network Marketing uses a powerful model of distribution to deliver products and services to consumers. Members of the Network are remunerated using a performance-based system. The more sales you make and the larger your network the higher the percentage of income you receive. Pretty Simple really.
Next time your invited to consider a Network Marketing opportunity consider the Networks you use every day and how closely they relate to the Concept of Network Marketing.
