Don't Buy a Franchise Until You Read This
By John A. Stokes

Are you currently thinking of buying a franchise? If so, I imagine financial independence is your motivation, why not, who likes working for someone else? Especially when you consider the fact that regardless how high your wages may be, the person or company you work for will always be the one making the real money. If your thinking about buying a franchise there are few things I'd like you to consider... The average initial investment is $250,000(excluding real estate) ·You'll pay royalty fees, on average these fees range from 3% to 6% of your monthly gross sales. A new franchise open every 8 minutes of every business day. The average franchise contract is 10 years. That's only the beginning, I'm certain you're aware that while buying a franchise is a good turnkey business, the company is already established with loyal customers, you need to remember that the average franchise doesn't make much money, keep in mind with an initial investment of $250k+ every dollar earned in profit, generally for the first 5 years, is re-copping the initial cost.

With that being said, I know most of you want to either open your own "brick-n-mortar" storefront or buy into a franchise because you want to be in business for yourself. In fact my mother-in-law opened her own smoke shop about 4 years ago, and while to the casual observer she seemed to be successful, that's because they didn't see what I did. I noticed she continued working her full time job as a store manager and then worked the cash register at her own store to cut costs! In essence, she had 2 F/T jobs and the latter of the 2 continued to drain her bank account and her dreams of financial independence. Needless to say she's since shut down her store and went back to her J.O.B.

I understand that most of you are turned off by the idea of online home based business's because most of what you see out there seems to be full of sales hype and lies. I assure you that, while there are systems out there that give home businesses a bad rap, there truly are ways to succeed from home online. In fact most of the success stories are former lawyers, CPA's, and ex-store owners. In some cases these people have already achieved a certain level of success, what seems to drive them is their desire to spend more time at home with children that seem to be growing up without them. Let's face it; what's the use in having 3 luxury sedans if your never home? While buying a franchise may seem at first glance like the answer, keep in mind how much time you'll actually be spending in your endeavor. An online business with a solid company can be up and running in a matter of days, and if your taught how to market correctly by true industry leaders, your efforts continue to "work" for you long after you've completed the task, in fact with a good home business, your primary focus becomes teaching others how to duplicate your success so that they create a passive income for you, while your out with the kids.
