Your Charity and Retirement
By Darius Raeisi

You can defiantly help the world benefit from the wealth that you have accumulated over your years of working hard. You can contribute your time while you are alive, but there are ways you can also help after you leave this Earth. Trusts, gifts, and foundations are the normal ways people leave money to others after they die. There are many different ways to benefit the causes that you believe in after you pass on.

Life Insurance that your family does not need can be donated to your favorite charity. You will have to keep up payment on the premiums, but this is a great way to help a cause that is in need. Life insurance can also be provided to give support to your children, if you would rather donate part of your estate to your favorite cause or charity.

There are some people that donate part of their retirement income to their charity while they are still alive. You can leave all of your property and your nest egg to your family this way and still help out and give back.

When you retire, you most likely wont need all the items that you did while you were working. If you have old computers or fax machines that you wont be using anymore, then there are plenty of charities that are in need of those items as well. Money is not the only way of giving back. If you are planning on buying a new vehicle before you retire, you can donate the old one to your charity of choice.

Computers are a very common item that you will buy many of in your lifetime. The charity can probably use your old computer, since it is only for work. Keep in mind if you choose to donate your old computer that you need to format the hard drives in the computer first. Deleting the files on the computer is what most people would do, but it is best to format the entire hard drive. Find a computer specialist to help you with this if you don't know how.
