8 Easy Tips to Turn Your Clients Into Raving Fans
By Susan Tomlinson

Would you like a virtual team of sales people who rave about you and your services? If so then it is time to focus on your clients.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if at every opportunity your clients are happy to talk about their amazing experience of you, your service or product? No more doing all the hard work yourself, as you will have a band of raving fans who recommend you without hesitation. It becomes a magical way to market your business.

Think of Apple as a great example. They have raving fans who will happily queue overnight for the latest technology. Loyal customers spread the word and help to create excitement about Apple's products and services worldwide.

If you want to turn your clients into raving fans then work out what you could change or do better now. Here are eight easy to implement tips that will make an immediate difference.

1. How are you being? Who we are being will dictate how others perceive us. If you're downbeat, negative, and pessimistic or have a laissez-faire attitude to your appearance how do you think you and your services come across to your clients? Do you look successful, sound convincing and provide pleasure when you do business? Be someone that your clients enjoy dealing with.

2. Continually re-invent your offer. Add bells and whistles, new programmes and products and update yourself and your business. Staying static won't attract old or new custom. Keep up to date, be relevant and sway with the market trends.

3. Tell your clients your good news. Pass on testimonials (filmed or printed on your website or newsletters), share good feedback on what others are saying about your services. It looks convincing and others will want to be a part of the "buzz" you are creating about what you do.

4. Create a "members only" or "VIP" club for clients. This could mean giving early bird discounts on bookings, exclusive announcements of new products and special invites. It all helps create a loyal following.

5. Add value and go the extra mile. Send follow-up emails or phone calls to see how former clients are doing. Mark birthdays with cards or special offers. Share information, give away information or products. Ask clients what else they need or that you can develop for them.

6. Be ahead of the competition. By inventing fresh ways of doing business and being ahead of the curve you will be the market leader everyone will be talking about.

7. Be cute. Find fun, stylish and different ways of doing business. Send a cupcake with a new order, design some memorable packages, use wit or élan to get attention, dare to be different and set yourself apart from your competitors.

8. Think of one word that you want you and your business to be defined by. For example - Aspiration, Fulfillment, Results, Trust, Elegance, Exclusive - always keep it in mind and extend it to all aspects of your business. From your initial introductory meeting to the end of a contract be sure your message is understood and extended throughout the professional relationship.
